Thessaloniki 2010 Book Fair 22-25 April

Thessaloniki, a European city at the crossroads of the Balkans and the Mediterranean, has been home to the international book fair since 2004. Six years on, the fair has become a regular fixture for the book trade and booklovers.

Thessaloniki Book Fair (TBF) takes place in April at the Helexpo exhibition center. It offers visitors an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest releases of publishers from around the world.

Take your time to roam around the publishers' stands.
Choose from a varied programme of cultural events.
Join in discussions with writers from Greece and abroad, and ask them to sign their books for you.

There will be 100 events every day from 10.00 to 21.00 in this four-day celebration of books:

literary meetings of writers from Greece and abroad - book presentations
special tributes
professional seminars - conferences
parallel events in the city

2010 Exhibition Theme : Antiquity and us

With China the guest of honour at the fair, the exhibition will use Greek publications to present ancient civilizations and the interaction between them.

The exhibition includes works of literature, essays, illustrated volumes, all Greek publications, which refer to ancient civilisations, their history, traditions and continuity over time.

Exhibits, book presentations, round table discussions and numerous parallel events will be organised to attract the public and make their visit to the exhibition stand a valuable experience.
