4th International Thessaloniki Book Fair

Right in the heart of Thessaloniki in the international exhibition center of Helexpo S.A  the 4th international book fair was held from 17/5 until the 20/5.About 400 exhibitors were gathered to illustrate their creativeness through their books.

Boyd  Toykin of the newspaper "The Independent" of United Kingdome has characterized the fair as "a very important meeting place for all the writers kai editors of Europe and far beyond". Along with the greek writers,a multitude of  well-known and important international writers, such as Christophe Merrill, Arthur Japin,Assia Djebar, participated. In general ,the fair was successful and the number of visitors exceeded all the hopes and expectations. The organizing aspect was a co-operation of National Book Center, Greek Confederation of book editors and book-sellers,Helexpo and Ministry of Culture.
